Inger Johanne Kvelstad, founder of the Heavenly Homes Network, recounted a profound spiritual experience from 2002 that affirmed her belief in the authenticity of prophetic ministry. She and her husband were invited to a small midweek meeting in their Norwegian town where a prophet from Arabia was visiting. Despite the modest gathering of about fifteen people, Kvelstad was struck by the prophet’s words, which flowed naturally and were confirmed by each individual present. The specific prophecies given to her and her husband aligned with a vision they had previously received from God, though the fulfillment took years to manifest. This experience solidified her conviction that true prophets are called by God and unmistakable when encountered.

Kvelstad emphasized that meeting genuine prophets does not require attending large conferences. She has encountered three prophets who prophesied over her in small, unexpected settings, without prior knowledge of her circumstances. One notable incident involved a chance meeting with a prophetess at a restaurant who warned her to leave a church plagued by spiritual unrest, predicting verbal attacks from religious spirits. The prophecy proved accurate within months.

Reflecting on these encounters, Kvelstad affirmed, “Yes, there are real prophets, but the three I’ve met have been at meetings I didn’t expect to meet them.” She credits these prophetic words for guidance and encouragement throughout her spiritual journey and ministry leadership.
