โDonโt lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.โ (Colossians 3:9,10, NLT).
They seek wisdom, speak truth, and behave with integrity. Their words and actions align with the Word of God. They are not in constant conflict, but seek to get along with others. They are single-minded in their desire to walk with God. Dear friends, letโs evaluate ourselves in comparison with what the Scripture says about maturity as believers and then respond with decisive obedience:
โBut donโt just listen to Godโs word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and donโt obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and donโt forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.โ (James 1:22-25, NLT).
