- TITHING GUARANTEES PROSPERITY
They told us if we give God 10%, Heโs obligated to bless us.
They said if we donโt tithe, weโll be cursed.
They said tithe is the master key to breakthrough, favor, promotion, open doors, and financial explosion.
So we paid.
Some even borrowed to tithe.
Some tithed with their last card.
Some sowed seeds they couldnโt afford, just to escape the fear of being under a curse.
But what happened?
We watched faithful tithers struggle in secret.
We watched them remain broke, frustrated, jobless, hungry โ and ashamed to ask questions.
They were told:
โYou didnโt tithe with faith.โ
โYou didnโt give enough.โ
โYou need to sow again.โ
โTry giving a painful sacrifice.โ
โYou canโt outgive God.โ
But hereโs the problem:
God never said tithing brings wealth.
The Bible never said tithe equals prosperity.
Jesus never preached tithe.
The apostles never taught tithe to believers.
The early church never practiced it.
Tithing was part of the Old Covenant Law.
It was food, not money.
It was for the Levites โ a priestly tribe in Israel โ not for modern-day pastors.
It was not 10% of salary but 10% of crops, grains, and animals.
It was never a prosperity formula.
It was a national system to take care of the temple, the poor, and the priests who had no land.
Today, pastors have land, houses, fleets of cars, and still demand the same tithe system.
They twisted Malachi 3:10 to fit their pocket.
They ignored that Christ fulfilled the law.
They ignored 2 Corinthians 9:7 which says, โLet each man give as he purposes in his heart.โ Not 10%. Not under pressure. Not out of fear.
Cheerful giving โ not fearful tithing.
Youโre not cursed if you donโt tithe.
Jesus became the curse for us.
You donโt pay God to protect you.
You donโt bribe God to bless you.
You donโt fund pastors to earn heaven.
The prosperity gospel is not the real gospel.
It turned God into an ATM.
It turned pastors into spiritual bankers.
It turned giving into gambling.
God wants your heart, not your 10%.
Give because you love, not because you’re afraid.
Give as led by the Spirit, not manipulated by men.
Give to the needy, the widows, the fatherless, the broken โ not just to fund pulpit empires.
Tithing doesnโt make you rich.
Obedience does.
Diligence does.
Wisdom does.
Giving does โ when itโs done from a place of truth and love, not fear and bondage.
If tithing truly guaranteed prosperity, then beggars would be bankers, and sowers would never suffer.
But the truth isโฆ
They lied to us.
And we believed it, for too long.
But not anymore.
Weโre going back to the Bible.
Not tradition.
Not emotion.
Not church rules.
Truth.
